The Balboa Exp. Board 2 Pump Relay VS X - 55137 is designed specifically for use with hot tubs and spas. This expander PCB is used with compatible Balboa VS520 control systems to add control for one additional 2-speed pump, with 30A fuse protection built into the pump circuit.

Fitting Guide
This board is fitted alongside the main VS520 PCB and provides the relay control needed for an extra 2-speed pump. It is an expander board only, not a main control PCB, so it must be used with a compatible VS520 control system.
The pump connected to this expander must be a suitable 2-speed pump and must not exceed the protected circuit rating. The board provides high and low speed switching through the control system when the main PCB, topside panel and configuration are all matched correctly.
Dipswitch Settings
Configuration depends on the exact VS520 system and the equipment fitted to the spa. The main board setup must support the additional 2-speed pump output before the expander will operate correctly.
- Confirm the existing control system is VS520 before fitting.
- Use the correct Balboa wiring diagram or tech sheet for the spa pack.
- Record the original wiring and DIP switch positions before removal.
- Match the replacement setup to the existing pump and control layout.
Important Notes
This PCB is intended for compatible VS520 systems only. It is not a universal Balboa expander and must not be fitted to unrelated GS, GL, BP or other control boxes unless the system documentation specifically confirms compatibility.
Installation involves mains voltage components inside the spa control box and is for a qualified electrician, experienced spa engineer or competent individual. Incorrect system identification, wiring, pump selection or configuration can cause board damage, pump faults or warranty issues.
Your order will generally be dispatched on the same working day, provided payment is received before 2 pm Monday - Friday. We use a few shipping companies such as DPD, EVRI, & Royal Mail to achieve the most cost-effective methods for delivering the different types of products that we stock.
All our shipments are tracked and signed for by our designated shipping companies. If you leave us your mobile telephone number at the payment checkout, we will pass this on to the courier, and usually they will text you with delivery updates.
Most products are available for next working day delivery if ordered before 2 PM between Monday-Friday.
Expect orders placed on Friday after 2 pm to be delivered on Monday.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Although we do our absolute best to deliver the next working day, it is not guaranteed. At least 99% of our orders do and will arrive the next working day, but there are exceptions.
- We do not offer refunds for late arrival.
- When you receive your email notification from the courier, you will be given the option to change your delivery details. If you use this service and there is an issue with the courier, we accept no responsibility.
- All the delivery prices listed below are inclusive of VAT to the UK Mainland. All other countries will not be charged VAT unless specified.
- No chemicals can be shipped to the UK mainland with the exception of Northern Ireland. Unfortunately, we no longer ship chemicals to Ireland or any other European/International destinations.
SPA COVERS: Unfortunately, due to the size of spa covers, they have to be shipped by freight at a cost of £24.00 and usually take around 3-5 days to be delivered. Stock held covers take around 10-14 days from the time of order to be shipped, custom covers 6-8 weeks from the date of ordering. Covers are only sold and shipped to UK mainland customers, excluding remote areas such as the Scottish Highlands.
