The Balboa Expander Board Relay 30amp GS-GL - 55025 is designed specifically for use with hot tubs and spas. This Balboa relay expander PCB is used with compatible GS and GL control systems to add one additional single-speed pump where higher-current 30A fuse protection is required.

Fitting Guide
This PCB works as an auxiliary relay board alongside a compatible Balboa GS or GL main control board. It is not a replacement for the main spa PCB and cannot operate independently. The connected load must be a suitable single-speed pump, with the current draw within the board and fuse rating.
The 55025 board is the higher-current option for GS and GL systems where 30A protection is needed. For standard current pump or blower applications, a smaller expander such as the 53547 type may be more suitable. For 2-speed pump expansion, a different expander board is required.
Dipswitch Settings
DIP switch and setup requirements depend on the exact GS or GL control box, the programmed equipment layout and the pump being added. The main board must be configured for the extra output before the relay board will operate correctly.
- Confirm the spa pack is a compatible GS or GL system.
- Match the replacement board to the existing relay board part number where possible.
- Record all existing DIP switch positions before removal.
- Use the correct Balboa tech sheet for the exact control box model.
Important Notes
This expander PCB is for compatible Balboa GS and GL systems only. It is intended for one additional single-speed pump and should not be used as a universal expander board for other Balboa systems, blower outputs or 2-speed pump applications unless the relevant control box documentation confirms compatibility.
Installation involves mains voltage components inside the spa control system and is for a qualified electrician, experienced spa engineer or competent individual. Incorrect wiring, wrong system selection or unsuitable pump loading can damage the expander board, main PCB or connected equipment.
Your order will generally be dispatched on the same working day, provided payment is received before 2 pm Monday - Friday. We use a few shipping companies such as DPD, EVRI, & Royal Mail to achieve the most cost-effective methods for delivering the different types of products that we stock.
All our shipments are tracked and signed for by our designated shipping companies. If you leave us your mobile telephone number at the payment checkout, we will pass this on to the courier, and usually they will text you with delivery updates.
Most products are available for next working day delivery if ordered before 2 PM between Monday-Friday.
Expect orders placed on Friday after 2 pm to be delivered on Monday.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Although we do our absolute best to deliver the next working day, it is not guaranteed. At least 99% of our orders do and will arrive the next working day, but there are exceptions.
- We do not offer refunds for late arrival.
- When you receive your email notification from the courier, you will be given the option to change your delivery details. If you use this service and there is an issue with the courier, we accept no responsibility.
- All the delivery prices listed below are inclusive of VAT to the UK Mainland. All other countries will not be charged VAT unless specified.
- No chemicals can be shipped to the UK mainland with the exception of Northern Ireland. Unfortunately, we no longer ship chemicals to Ireland or any other European/International destinations.
SPA COVERS: Unfortunately, due to the size of spa covers, they have to be shipped by freight at a cost of £24.00 and usually take around 3-5 days to be delivered. Stock held covers take around 10-14 days from the time of order to be shipped, custom covers 6-8 weeks from the date of ordering. Covers are only sold and shipped to UK mainland customers, excluding remote areas such as the Scottish Highlands.
