Genesis Hot Tub Air Blower G120-2NN-S

Genesis Hot Tub Air Blower G120-2NN-S

This Genesis Hot Tub Air Blower G120-2NN-S is designed specifically for use with hot tubs and spas. It is a 1200W air blower for larger systems that need strong airflow for bubble jets, and it is commonly used on bigger domestic spas, swim spas and hydrotherapy installations.

Key Features

• The 1200W motor delivers around 1.61 HP output, making it suitable for air systems running approximately 8 to 15 air jets.
• The G120-2NN-S uses electronic on/off control, so it is intended for spas with a compatible control box or topside-operated blower output.
• This version includes an automatic dry-out cycle that starts after shut-down to purge moisture from the air line and help protect the blower and pipework.
• The outlet is a 1.5" BSP male threaded connection and is supplied with a 32mm union, which helps when matching existing plumbing on a like-for-like replacement.
• A rotatable outlet union makes alignment easier where pipework position is tight inside the equipment bay.
• The blower uses a standard replaceable 3-core power cable, which is useful when matching an existing lead arrangement.
• Its blue polypropylene housing is rigid and moisture resistant, with an IPX5 rating for use in wet spa environments.
• Built-in thermal protection cuts the motor out if it overheats and allows it to reset once cooled.
• Suitable for larger hot tubs, swim spas and commercial-style hydrotherapy systems where a higher air output blower is required.
• Compatible with installations where the blower is positioned up to 5 metres from the air injection point, provided the pipework layout is correct.

Fitting Guide

If replacing a like-for-like Genesis Hot Tub Air Blower G120-2NN-S, isolate power to the spa first, remove the blower power cable from the spa control box, unthread the air outlet pipe connection, take out the fixings securing the blower in place, and install the new unit in reverse order. Check that the 1.5" BSP outlet and supplied 32mm union match the existing plumbing before refitting, and confirm the control box is set up for an electronically switched blower.

For new installations, mount the blower in a dry, well-ventilated area and secure it through the rubber feet. The air line should include either a double air loop and check valve, or two check valves, fitted above the maximum water level to prevent water tracking back to the blower. Maximum recommended distance to the spa air system is 5 metres. Standard wiring is 230VAC 50Hz with a 3-core cable using brown live, blue neutral and yellow/green earth where required, and electrical connection should be made through suitable fixed isolation in line with current regulations.
