CG Air 700W Hot Tub Air Blower

CG Air 700W Hot Tub Air Blower

This CG Air 700W Hot Tub Air Blower - SLE-70-230/50-AMP-CE-10 SLE-70-230 is designed specifically for use with hot tubs and spas. It is a 230V non-heated air blower for bubble massage systems, commonly fitted to portable and residential spas including some models from Bullfrog Spas, Signature Spas, Leisurite and Designer Spas. The compact body, low 2.6A current draw and standard 1.5" air outlet make it a practical replacement where the original blower matches the same electrical and plumbing layout.

Key Features

• The 700W motor delivers strong airflow for spa air systems and bubble massage operation in hot tubs and spas.
• A built-in silencer and anti-vibration rubber mounting help keep running noise down and reduce vibration through the cabinet.
• The outlet is a standard 1.5" smooth socket with a 48mm inner diameter, suiting many common spa air line connections.
• It is supplied with a plain stripped cable for hard wiring to the spa control box, allowing connection to the existing control system where ratings and pin-out match.
• Brush motor construction uses graphite carbon brushes with an expected domestic service life of around 1,500 hours.
• The blower includes an air filter to help prevent debris entering the blower and air pipework.
• Its compact size helps when fitting into tighter equipment bays or replacing a blower in an existing cabinet.
• This model is commonly used as a like-for-like replacement on a range of North American and Canadian-built spas.
• Compatibility should be checked against the original blower voltage, frequency, outlet size and cable arrangement before ordering.

Fitting Guide

If replacing a like-for-like CG Air 700W Hot Tub Air Blower or matching SLE-70-230/50-AMP-CE-10 SLE-70-230 unit, installation is usually straightforward. Isolate power to the spa first, remove the blower power cable from the spa control box, unthread or disconnect the air outlet pipe connection, remove the fixings holding the blower in place, then fit the replacement in reverse order. Check that the replacement matches the original voltage, frequency, outlet size and cable configuration before reconnecting.

For new installations, this blower connects to a 1.5" smooth socket air line and should be wired into a suitable 230V, 50Hz spa control system with the correct pin-out. An air check valve should be fitted between the blower and the jets to help prevent water travelling back into the unit. Leave enough access around the blower for cooling and future servicing, and make sure the installation area is clean so debris cannot be drawn into the air inlet. An RCD/GFCI protected supply is required in line with the spa pack and local electrical regulations.
